Afiya Trust

Abstract:

The mission is to reduce health inequalities for people from racialised groups, with key focus on the black and minority ethnic (BME) population in England. The Afiya Trust is a home to projects that involves carers' support as well as provision of multi-lingual information for families of people living with cancer. Afiyas activities also include community involvement, capacity building and mental health. The AFIYA TRUST generates, supports and maintains national and local networks concerned with the promotion of BME health and community care equality issues.
